Flirting online is common ground

Flirting online is common ground

Flirting online has become socially acceptable. The boundaries were always very strict. But online behavior, helped by the growing popularity of Social Media, has changed quickly.

People with and without a serious relationship flirt a lot online. Durex has now started an awareness campaign. They have penetrated Holland’s number one social network Hyves with a flirt battle gadget.

Produced by IIZT. And featuring Sascha Visser and Nickie Plessen.

Some results of the research held by Durex about accepted forms of online flirting:

  1. emoticons, especially smileys. 57%
  2. funny texts and words 49%
  3. lines with double meaning 44%

What is still not accepted: nasty pictures and direct and sexual proposals.

Hurray!

A new campaign on Hyves, the dutch Social Network. Finally Avril Lavigne has broadened her audience. The super-duper girly perfume (Pink Pink me like it) is now also being promoted at the a male audience of above 35.

I was confused at first. But this campaign definitely made me discover the little girl inside of me.

Food and health is getting more interactive. The Australian start up that helps you with calories and diets is now making its content available for third parties.

This is a smart way to get your data across. Don’t ask people to come to your place, but go to where they already are. And hopefully it helps. Now just some persistance.

Aldi is going viral. How long ago was it that so many people were actively looking for them?

Indoctrination with toys?

Indoctrination with toys?

Young kids are being confronted with adult things at an increasing early age. Why? Do they want to be adult earlier, or do adults need them to be grown up sooner?

While the western world will go crazy about this new toy, at the other side of the world girls this age are being married. We live on different planets.
